Detecting Generalized Pustular Psoriasis Exacerbations In Unstructured Clinical Data Using Deep Neural Networks

An OMNY Health™ Poster

Aggregation of many generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) patients from various clinical practices would permit application of novel natural language processing (NLP) methodologies which have recently performed relatively well in object classificiation tasks

On May 15 – May 18, 2022, this poster was on display at ISPOR 2022.

Conclusions:

  • We were unable to observe higher than 58% accuracy with our NLP model.
  • Nevertheless, this analysis represents an important initial step in developing a more robust algorithm to identify GPP exacerbations.
  • Lack of a validated ground truth label in real-world data could have contributed to this low observed accuracy.
